Reaching out to Janjati in distress
The outbreak of COVID19 pandemic resulted in nation-wide lockdown which put the Janjati families dependent on daily wages in distress. Shortage of food items & daily essentials made their conditions worse. Kalyan Ashram appealed to citizens staying in various large cities to come forward for the support of our Janjati brethren. There was a huge response by way of providing all types of required support. With this support, Kalyan Ashram could carry out relief activities in 28 Indian States and 2 Union Territories providing support to 77,614 families covering 170 tribes and 23 Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups.
